Galanis olive oil, the taste that unites people!

About us

We are a family of olive tree farmers since four generations. We produce extra virgin olive oil because we love it! We market it because we want to let the world know about this amazing divine product. We cherish sustainability and community, we favor quality instead of quantity and we safeguard traditions. Our region is Messinia Greece.

We use the minimum required pesticides, usually only once per year, six months before harvest, and we optimise the use of fertilisers by using far less than the recommend quantity. Our farming therefore respects nature and protects biodiversity.

We cultivate two varieties the koroneiki and the mavrolia. Both have very low acidity 0,2-0,3% and high level of healthy polyphenols.

Koroneiki monocultivar represents circa 65% of our production and has a balanced taste giving with freshly cut grass flavours and somewhat spicy sensation in your mouth. It has an emmerald -green color. Although this variety is relatively common in Greece, Messinia is the region per excellence for this variety, which has received a PDO in this region.

Mavrolia monocultivar represents circa 35% of our production and has an intense citrus- fruity flavour granting its characteristic spiciness. It's color is gold-yellow with greenish reflections. This variety is very rare and is present only to some territory in the province of Trifylia.
